Schreef het volgende over Kramer Guitars SM-1 H Tronius Silver elektrische gitaar
I bought this guitar a week ago and I just want to write a review that I would like to read, at least if I would read what I am about to write, I would not have that much of struggle. Let me tell you why.
Sound; this combination of woods and pickup means metal music. For me this is the sound of Megadeth (Marty Friedman Era), also Ihsahn - Emperor/Peccatum 96-01. If you like to combine this guitar with Marshall, you may probably have that sound. But I also find the sound of this guitar a bit cleaner that I have expected, which is a good thing.
Playability; Neck is a bit thicker than I expected, on the Fender Mexico Strat side thick. Frets have no sharp edge and perfectly leveled. After a small adjustment on truss rode, string action is less than 1 mm on high E side, without any buzz. Actually the action on this guitar is lower than my Ibanez JEM7VP. Also truss rod works like butter, which is very important for me.
Floyd rose; for me this is the biggest point of struggle, because it is a bit about being lucky, if the thing works fine and stay in tune, it means the whole guitar is made perfectly. and to be honest, I was totally ready to send the guitar back if floyd rose was not %100000 perfect.
and it is perfect on this guitar. I don't care if it is Floyd Rose 1000 or Floyd Rose -1000, it works amazing. and the backcover has 2 access points to adjustment screws, they look not perfectly alined, but they are, and they work good, so you dont need to open it up each time you change the strings which is a blessing, a thousand blessings!
also on the machinehead, there is no string guide, which is a bit strange. Usually that would cause tuning problems if the headstock would not be perfectly angled, which is fortunately not a problem on this guitar.
this guitar has no locking tuners. it is kind of something, even some cheaper guitars have, but I have many guitars that have locking tuners, and many do not, it is something that would make my life easier, but since this guitar has kind of 80/90s vibe, it fits the image. but they work fine, only they cost me 10 minutes extra each 2 weeks, I dont really mind.
the allen keys on the back of the headstock is something useful, and with a pick you can unscrew the things, but they are only for adjusting for floyd rose, there is no allen key for truss rod of this guitar that comes with the guitar, which is my biggest disappointment.
Also, for fast adjustment of floyd rose, two red plastic rings of that big Grolsch bottle fits perfectly to make the tremolo flat. You do unlock the nut locks, put two rings under the floyd rose on the black foam, tighten the 2 screws of the tremolo which are on the backside of the guitar, then tune the guitar. Lock the nut locks again, take the rings off the floyd rose, the tuning will go sharp. Loose the screws on the backside until the guitar has the tuning back, voilà! your guitar is perfectly in tune! and it stays very long in tune!
Also, the volume knob has a push pull thing, which makes the connection of the humbucker parallel it says. It actually means it makes the thing a bit more cleaner, especially you may hear it on clean tone, which I do not really use. Still it is good to have.
I don't know if there is something I forget to mention. All in all, it is a very well made guitar with no surprises.
